Dean's Story
Life
I lived on Guam (Anderson AFB) from 1969 untill 1972. I was known as the dude with the "purple dune buggy", which was built by my younger brother Jim and myself. I graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 1971, was a team member of the Anderson AFB Vikings football team during my junior and senior year. I have many great memories of the nice people and places on the island and would like to return someday soon. Among some of my best memories was the fantastic scuba diving in the beautiful underwater world of the island; and being a life guard at the "O-Club" pool on Anderson AFB. Since I was born in Hononlulu, Hawaii and graduated from highschool on Guam; island life has always felt like home for this airforce brat.
After leaving the island, I served in the US Air Force as a flight engineer and then ...Expand for more
graduated from Auburn University in 1978. I was then hired by Delta Air Lines as a flight instructor on various Boeing aircraft and retired July 2007. I am now on my second career as an airline pilot with another carrier based in Atlanta, Georgia; and I plan on flying for 10 more years.
I have two daughters from my first marriage and have been remarried for 10 years with no other children; other than our two dogs. My second wife is originally from South America, and became a U.S. citizen in 1996. She is now an orthodondist with her own practice in the Atlanta area. We enjoy biking, hiking, traveling in our RV, and flying helicopters in our spare time.
