Deanna's Story

Life I moved from Seattle to Dallas, TX in 1972 and worked in Accounting at Texas Instruments until 2001. I sold my house and moved to Arkansas after my father's death in 2001. I had not really planned on retiring yet but I guess I am retired because the pay scale in Arkansas is so low it doesn't pay to work. I am enjoying being retired though. I stay very busy and don't know how I ever had the time to work. I took the Master Gardener training through the University of Arkansas Div of Agriculture and work on projects on a volunteer basis and really enjoy the friends I've made through the Maste...Expand for more
r Gardener program. Even though I've moved from where I have friends, I do have relatives here in Arkansas; Aunts, Uncles, cousins; a definite change from not being around relations for many years. I took classes while I was working but just have two years of college, it is somewhat of a regret that I didn't go on to get a degree but when you're working and going to school it takes about 4-5 years to get 2 years in. Also, in Accounting there are so many long hours to get books closed each month it's hard to maintain schedules outside of work. Would enjoy hearing from anyone who used to know me.
