Deanna Johnson:  

Life Since high school I have lived several places. Two months before graduation, I moved to Albuquerque, NM. I finished my credits there and then they were transferred back to Sibley and I was able to graduate with my class in MN. After graduation I went back to Albuquerque. I was accepted into college at Mid America Nazarene University in Olathe, KS (and had a full scholarship). However, I chose to pursue a career in the airline industry. (Seems stupid now that we are going to be putting 3 kids through college some day!) I moved to St. Louis, MO, to attend the International Air Academy, in October of 1986. I interviewed and was hired with Continental Airlines in December of '86 and moved to Denver, CO. I loved living in Denver, and loved my job ( I was a Customer Service Supervisor)but had a family crisis and took a leave of absence from Continental and moved to Indianapolis, IN, to be with my family. I quickly found a job with USAir in Indy, so resigned my position with Continental. I loved my position with USAir; I worked at the gate (took tickets, gave seat assignments, boarded the planes, etc.). It was great working there and I got to meet several celebrities. Also, some not-so-nice drunk people the day after the Indy 500 every year! Of course, I loved to move around, so I found a job with United Airlines in Chicago. I moved here in January of 1990. I also enjoyed that job and met an annoying guy who worked for American Airlines. Annoying because he, of course, thought his airline was better than mine. As fate would have it, I've been married to him just short of 15 years (our 15 yr anniv is 7-20-06). We moved to Elgin (which is the suburb he has lived in since he was 2) in 1992.
