Deb's Story
Life
I was sort of in-between classes. I actually graduated in 67 but was in the 68 homeroom. I was 16 when I graduated - went to college for two years, but I wasn't mature enough to follow thru. I started working civil service when I was 18 in McLean VA. I moved to Colorado Springs CO in 1985 and retired there in 2006.
I have always loved animals and have had many pets. At one point I had (at the same time) 8 large dogs, many cats and a 1000 lb pet pig!

Mom passed away 2 June 2015. I've gone through many more losses along the way.
I came to Wilmington NC in 2014 to help care for our Mom. It was difficult to leave close friends and Pikes Peak, but I had lived away from my family for over 30 years. My brothers (Bill and Thom) and I have always been very close and I love being near them and their families.
I realize now, more than ever, that life is made up of "moments." You just have to stop long enough to take them in and let them fill your heart.
