Deb's Story
Durng most of my senior year, if you saw me, you saw me with the first love of my life, Dick Harmon! After graduation we worked in a summer camp with one of the teachers and then went to live in New Hampshire. Dick and I were very young and ended up going in different directions and I eventually moved back to CT where I am originally from. I joined the Air Force in 1977 and worked in Aircraft Fuel Sytems Repair all of my career and retired in 1997. Married a few times along the way (4 yrs and then 21 yrs). My last name was once Huester and Wilkinson but have now gone back to my maiden name. 2 grown daughters (25 and 28), Jess lives in LA with her guy (he's the director of animation for Fox Studios) she does the same thing I do work-wise but has gone back to school for an environmental science degree, Tasha lives with her guy in NJ, is a mathamatician and works for a finance company (doing whatever mathamaticians do?)great women; neither are married and no grandchildren.
Life is very, very good, I own a motorcycle and am very active, love to ride my bike and camp, fish, travel, party, live theater, concerts, casinos, etc. Not a couch potato in any sense of the word. Go to the gym almost every workday (so I can eat and drink what I want and not worry too much about it). Rabid Phillies and Eagles fan. Love good wine and Jack Daniels on ice. Quit smoking years ago! (big YAY!!)
Love to garden so I need some dirt under my feet (but not home enough to pull the weeds (hm...Expand for more
mm...what to do).
If you read this and you know me, please email me and say hi. Love to hear from you. starr deb (but it's really all one word I'm trying to trick the system here - LOL!!) at the hot mail you-know-what.
"Life is a highway - I wanna ride it all night long,
If you're going my way - I wanna drive it all night long"
Live free and ride hard, Lots of Love - Deb
P.S. Update: I decided to move to Las Vegas while on vacation there in the spring of 2009. Also while there, fate saw fit to make sure that I re-met someone I knew at Dyess AFB 31 years ago. And life being the surprise that it is at every turn, has now shown me that he was destined to be the last, but more signficantly the greatest, love of my life.
I love you Bill Guerin.
So 2012 and an update.
I quit my job in Philadlephia, moved to Las Vegas in August of 2009, I was very lucky and found a great job in Novmeber of 2009 (or rather it found me from an old resume I had placed on Monster just from a whim one day). I remarried in May of 2010. Later that same year, my daughter Jessica had a beautiful wedding in New Hampshire, a gorgeous blue-sky October day. I had a chance to drive through areas I hadn't seen since the mid-70's - memories!! Tasha married in a beatuiful park in PA in June of 2012. Now it's just a wait for my grandchildren!! Bill and I have been busy riding and camping and fishing when we can. Life is good, but come on retirement!
If anyone is out in Vegas, give a shout
