Debbie Berckes's Story

Update: I’m now married almost 42 years! Our 4 daughters are still keeping us active; 3 are married and the 4th is engaged. We have 4 adorable grandchildren, boys ages 6,4 & 3; a little girl just turned one. They all live in Shreveport, Louisiana and are the delight of my life!! Dan and I have 2 homes; condos in Baton Rouge , Louisiana and Clearwater, Florida area, and split our time between based on work schedules. We both work for the Veterans Administration. I still work a behavioral health counselor and certified Psychometrist, specializing in psychological testing and work part time. We love traveling and have been many places around the world; we can’t wait to start traveling after COVID. again. We are also big sports fans and are excited that our Tampa Bay Lightning are in the Stanley Cup playoffs this year as back-to-back champions! I’m on Facebook as De...Expand for more
bbie Berckes Kasprzyk if you want to be in touch! Life My husband of 27 years and I are enjoying the life of the "sandwich" generation here in Florida! We have 4 daughters, 3 who are honor students in various Florida universities around the state and one who is in 8th grade. She keeps us busy with school activities, dance, Girl Scouts and church activities. We share caregiving responsibilities for my mother in law and regularly travel across the state to visit my parents as they navigate being seniors! I work part time as a mental health specialist at the VA in St Petersburg and my husband is a physician there; sometimes we see each other more at work than home! We love sports, expecially football and hockey here in "Tampa Bay", but primarily stay busy with the girl's activities. We travel a lot, and were amazed at how much Memphis has grown when we visited last spring!
