Deb's Story
Life
I guess the committee who made up the ABC list of seniors knew what they were doing when they voted me "Young-at-heart" back in 1968. According to many people, I may never grow up. Seems to me the only good part of getting older is having kids & grandkids!! Mine are the light of my life!
After JHS, college consisted of 2 yrs at Univ of Ark(PARTY) and then finally a B.S. in Agriculture at the Univ. of MO. I married and consequently raised 2 great children in Eureka, KS. While there we lived on a small acreage with horses and cattle. Luckily my kids grew up in a place with no crime, great small town values and a grandma who lived across from the grade school. Both Cody and Alison graduated from Kansas State Univ.

sas to Missouri, plants and landscaping have been my passion. I am presently working at a local garden center here in Joplin.
Twenty five years ago I was bitten by the Genealogy bug and am working on my certification as a professional. Besides becoming the family record keeper, I also conduct research for other people. I have become one of those nuts who enjoys cemeteries and courthouses.
Presently I am living back in Joplin(after my 2nd and last divorce) in my parent's house while trying to update the place. Mom, now 93, is in a local nursing home where I help her with dinner every evening. Dad died 11 yrs ago.
I hope any and all classmates will call (same old phone# as in high school)and visit, as my newly single life is rather dull. I love hearing from old friends. Don't forget Fred & Reds is the place to meet when you come to town!!
