Debbie's Story
"Old Fashion" would be the word, Yes I said Old Fashion. What I mean by that is I believe in God and country. I'm a Christian, Mother, Grandmother and a Widow. I lost my husband of all most 30 years about 8 years ago. One thing I've learned in the last 8 years is that with God helping us we can get thought anything life dishes out.
I turned 57 last January and now I'm trying to start a new life. I am 5' 10" and weight more then I would like. I have been working on taking down the weight and getting back in shape. I have brown hair and hazel eyes. I love to keep active, go and see new places, and try new things.
I have 3 grown sons and 10 beautiful Grandchildren.
I live in Fresno, Ca.
My favorite place on earth is the Mountains. My sister has a cabin north of Lake Isabella and when ever I get the time to go up, I'm there.
I love Bass fishing, and camping. I guess just being in the outdoors.
I love movies and I'm a Trekie. ( In case you don't understand, I love Star Trek)
I have been since the 60's.
This part is so dumb, because I feel just making it this far in life is an accomplishment in it's self. One great achievement is my 3 sons. They grew up to be very fine and honorable men. My Grandkids are not so much my ac...Expand for more
complishment as much as my son's, but I am very proud of them. Also, I'm very proud of the all most 30 years I was married. But the "Highest Accomplishment" is becoming a Christian.
Because, "Thought Him all things are possible".
I'm hooked on my computer, and love going to movies and out to dinner. I really enjoy traveling and seeing new things.
I grew up in Barstow, Ca. Or should I say Hinkley. My Dad worked for Santa Fe Rail Road so that is how I ended up in Barstow. I went to Barstow High and graduated in 1972. After graduation I moved to Bakersfield to stay with my Sister and her family and got a job. In Oct. of 1972 I meet my to be husband Gary Ennen. We got married on Dec. 14th, 72. I lost him to cancer on Nov. 17, 2002. Since then I got a job at Wal Mart and worked as a cashier for 5 1/2 years. Now I work for IRS and right now i'm in there off season. I have a new man in my life. His name is Mike and we are old friends and both widowers. He lost his for about 6 years ago. He has 3 beautiful grand daughters.
I have been a member of the American Legion Auxiliarty Unit 509. This year they voted me in as President for the 3ed year. I really enjoy working to help our vets. Please pray for our troops and there familys.
