Debra Rosevear:  

Life I live in San Diego, California with my husband (Joe Rosevear, JM class of 1976) and our son, Bartholomew (Bart). My "then" photo shows Joe and me in 1978. My "now" photo is of Bart (our son) and me in September 2008. I work at a large church in San Diego (see my "Work" bio below, for more information). Joe works for San Diego City Schools as a S.E.T. (Special Education Technician). His hobbies include playing viola and computer programming. Our son, Bart, is 23. He graduated in 2004 from Madison High School (San Diego, California). (See my photo gallery. There is a picture of my dad, me and Bart in June 2004; on Bart's Graduation Day.) Bart lives about a mile from Joe and me. He is currently renting a house with 3 other people. He is enrolled in an electrician's apprenticeship program. He works 40 hours/week and, during 8 months of the year, he attends classes two nights/week. He has completed 3 1/2 years of the 5-year program. Bart likes to play video games, go to the beach, and spend time with his friends. How did we end up in California? Joe graduated from the University of Minnesota in June 1981 with a Bachelors in Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics. We married in September 1981 and then lived in Minneapolis for a short time. Joe received a job offer at a company in San Diego, California (the name of the company was General Dynamics) and we moved to San Diego in February 1982. We decided to stay in San Diego after Joe (and about 20,000+ others) were laid off from General Dynamics in 1992. Do I still twirl baton? Not very much. Every once in a while I get the batons out and do a few "tosses". My time is mostly spent at work.
