Debbie's Story
Well, nothing that exciting ... but here goes.
I left Stoughton back in 1983 and got divorced. My boys, Daniel and David came with me and we lived in Medicine Hat for about 8 years and then we moved to Kamloops BC. I was there up until 2 years ago. At that time I finally got married again. We went to Indonesia for a short stint. It was supposed to be for 3 years, but it was not a very safe environment for my husband, so we came home. Then we took some time to decide where we wanted to live and what we wanted to do. My boys are both on the island. They became surfers after trips to foreign places to learn the skill. They love the Island because they can surf all year round and live in Canada.
Daniel, the oldest, married a girl from Kamloops. They have opened a Fish Processing store in Ucluelet. Their business is doing great.
David, the youngest, also lives in Ucluelet. He manages the Mussel Beach Wilderness Camp grounds and is quite the woodworker.
