Debbie's Story
Right now I'm studying to be a Chaplain. I am a certified Christian Counselor and a Certified Crisis Chaplain. I'm loving my life and can't wait to see what God's going to do next!
My favorite way to relax would be to chill out on the couch watching chick flicks with a fire going in the fireplace. Glass of wine or hot chocolate...
The wildest thing I ever did in school was... Gee... paint the railroad tressel? At least it's the only time I remember getting cops involved!
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have my nightly 3.5 mile walk at night, a good cup of coffee in the morning, and dancing on the weekend to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
My hero and inspiration is Jesus Christ, hands down.
The biggest surprise of my life is that I love people so much and family is so important to me... I never expected to end up by myself as a single empty-nester.
If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the kitchen and add on a deck. My dream home would be anything newer than 2001.
I've learned they are people, too... with interesting ways of looking at things, feeling thin...Expand for more
gs and that any little piece of their lives that they give us is absolutely precious.
Wow, I really enjoyed several of my teachers: Mrs. Braun, Mrs. Lorrain. Above all else, I truly miss Senora Berry.
If I won $100 million, I'd give 10% of it to my church, then spend the rest on kids nestegg, pay off my house and travel.
My current age is 50 as of Dec. 2008. I'll be 51 in February. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be old, wrinkly, with leather-like skin. I was so completely WRONG! I feel great and not too ashamed of my aging process, thank you very much!.
I share my home with my cats, which I find frustrating since I'm really a dog person.
In 10 years, I hope to be married and looking forward to retirement. I'm going to get there by praying, praying, praying. LOL.
I think the one thing that would surprise most people at my school reunion would be the fact that I have such an awesome relationship with Jesus Christ. When you grow up with your friends knowing your Mom was hanging out in the bars around town... well... I think they'd just be surprised...
