Debbie's Story
I will never forget stopping in Mr. Haneys' store and getting a coke out of the machine there and how he loved to see all the kids come by. I'll treasure all my years the memories that I have of Haney Grade School and the friends that I made there.
The memories are so special to me like going to the ball park to watch my brother play ball, labor day in Catlettsburg, our pep rallies at BCHS. I lost my mother my last year of school do to an unknown heart cond, and 2 years ago this Jan.2nd, my dad passed away due to a stroke. Both have been really hard for me. I have 2 boys and 1 granddaughter who is my life and i'm still married to my husband Art Williams.
I have been very disappointed in my oldest son who is my 1 and only grandchilds dad. I am struggling in court at the present time to have custody granted to me for my granddaughter full time...Expand for more
. Not only am I raising her and keeping her active in her moms' side of the family as well, but I work 2 jobs. I work as an 8 hour cook at South Point Elem. and parttime 3 nights a week at the Snak Shak in South Point,OH
As you can see i'm really busy. Am I ready to take the task on with my grandchild, answer is yes. I have been caring for her since she was born and she's lived with me since she was 4 months old. Her mom can see her whenever but she chooses not to bother most of the time. It's sad really but at least I am able to keep her. I have temporary custody right now.
My youngest son who is 21 now has decided to go back to school. He's going to Ohio University branch in Ironton. He is dating a girl from Louisville,KY who was adopted as a baby from somewhere around Asia. She's very sweet and in collage and seems to be good for Aaron.
