Debbie's Story
We have lived in Alaska for 7 years. I have been teaching elementary special education since we got here. I changed grade levels this year. I taught pre-school special education. It am really exciting.
Before we moved to Anchorage, Bethany and I lived in Atoka where I taught middle school special ed for 13 years.
I can't believe that I have finished 22 years of teaching. (20 years in special education).

11th grader this year. I am just really happy that she isn't anything like I was at 16. (thank god)
We have 2 dogs and 1 cat and, oh yeah I have a husband.
We love the weather. It was too cold here to keep the windows open today (May 29.) The weather will be what keeps me here forever. And the wild life. We see Moose on the way to school. We see our friendly neighborhood mamma moose and her twin babies all the time. I do hate it that they eat my flowers and trees.
