Debbie's Story
Life
Since graduation in 1975 I went to Stetson University for 2 years and then transferred to the University of Alabama. I graduated in Dec. 1980 with a double major in psychology and communications. I decided to go into counseling in the schools. Then I learned I had to teach 3 years before becoming a school counselor so I went to L.S.U. I was married in 1982 and we moved to Baton Rouge, LA. ter, Ashley . I stayed home until she started kindergarten and finished my master's degree in School Counseling. I became an elementary school counselor from 1993-1997 in Chattanooga, TN. I became the Counselor Coordinator (over 88 school counselors K-12) at Central Office. (I divorced in December 1997) I am back as a counselor at an elementary school now. My daughter is 17 years old now. She will be a senior in high school this year. I'd love to hear from some of you guys!
