Debbie's Story
I've lived a lot of different lives in this one lifetime--it goes by fast, but there are tons of chapters!
The greatest thing that ever happened to me was motherhood. I have 4 grown children, 10 grandchildren (plus spouses, adoptees, and incoming as time goes on!), and two great-granddaughters! I've been retired for 3 years, but am still writing, playing and singing songs, am slightly published (no, not famous, yet...), entertain for corporate events, weddings and parties, and do volunteer singing at a local hospital.
I lead a fairly quiet life; love nature, reading, writing, singing, growing things, and dancing (if I can ever get anyone to go!), but mostly love to be home. I've said gentle see-you-on-the-other-side farewells to all my pets, except my cat, Sophie, who's about 16 years old, now. Giving myself time to let ...Expand for more
my heart heal a bit. Meanwhile, my daughter lives in the mother-in-law apartment with her three fur-babies, so I enjoy those grandbabies on a daily basis!
I have to phrase this properly--usually, people say they're "providing child care," but I say I get to play with my 3-year-old great-granddaughter, Luna, about 3 days a week--she keeps me hopping, and is the cherry on top of a rich sundae of family!
For my Key School classmates, I am still searching for David Miller, who graduated 8th grade with us and later moved to Texas. There are a million David Millers--I cannot recall his middle name, so it's made things impossible, so far. If you can provide any help, I'd appreciate it!
How about you? What's going on in your current life? You can msg me on FB, or mail on debbiej.noteworthy at gmail, any time. Would love to hear from you!
