Debbie's Story
What an amazing life so far...
As a child I moved quite a bit. So much, I can't even remember my elementary school(s) in San Jose. When I was young, I hated the moves. Getting to know new people every couple of years caused tremendous stress. However, I must have learned well from all the change as my family and I have moved almost as often as I did as a child. (My children claim they don't have the same challenges. They don't enjoy all the moves; however, they've enjoyed all the new friends and memories.)
Currently, we reside in Salt Lake City, UT. We moved here in 2007 when I took a promotion with First Franklin. Prior to that, we lived in Colorado where I transfered from San Jose (also with First Franklin). I was very fortunate; however, the company has since gone out of business. It was a wonderful family with so many great memories. For those who have worked across the nation, I assure you they would agree.
I have two beautiful daughters, Amanda and Felicia and an amazingly supportive husband. Aman...Expand for more
da just graduated from high school - an amazing accomplishment. We are all very proud of her. Felicia just completed sixth grade and will be going to middle school next year.
I have the most supportive husband in the world. He encourages me on all of my wild expeditions! I'm thankful his job affords him the flexibility to move all over the Western US.
Although we have enjoyed our time in Salt Lake, it is our home in Colorado that we miss dearly. In one week, we head back home (foresight of a fragile mortgage market and some great mentoring caused us to keep our home - thank goodness!) We will miss all of our new friends and we are overjoyed to return to all of the amazing people we met in Colorado.
What the family loves to do...
We love to have fun as a family. We frustrate each other to no end and yet, enjoy every minute of it. We enjoy camping, mountain biking, snowboarding (skiing for Felicia), playing Rock Band, our trips to Kauai, kayaking, hiking and spending time with friends.
