Debbie's Story
I have been married for 23 years to a wonderful man, Greg, who is a minister. I have 2 girls, 22 and 19, and an adopted son, 29. My adopted son Nick lives in El Paso, TX, where he plays and writes music. He served for 6 years in the U.S. Army, in Germany, Iraq, and Kuwait. My oldest daughter, Brittany, has received her Associate's Degree in Accounting. She is expecting, and is due any day now with our first grandchild. (I'm still not used to the idea of being a grandma!) It's a girl, and her name is going to be Addalynn Dawn. My youngest daughter, Kimberly, is in her 2nd year at Arkansas State University on an academic and music (clarinet) scholarship. She is 1st chair in the Wind Ensemble and Orchestra, and a section leader in the Marching Band ("The Sound of the Natural State") I could go on and on about my kids, because I am so proud of them all. 10 years. I work at Community Service, Inc., as Quality Improvement Coordinator. I am a member of Main Street Morrilton, and I assist in the Missionettes program at our church. I attend Morrilton Christian Center, where my husband is the Christian Education Pastor. He also works for Morrilton Community Channel 6 as the sports person, and is known in Morrilton as the "Voice of the Devil Dogs". We have become very involved in our community, with Greg being on the School Board, and being the Conway County Care Center Director. I love shopping, spending time with my husband, and my sister Pat (who is also a graduate of Searcy High). My favorite places to eat are Chili's and Rivertowne BBQ, and I love visiting Petit Jean Mountain, even though I don't get to go often enough. My favorite place to vacation is Panama City Beach, Florida, and I hope to one day take a cruise to the Bahama's or Mexico.
