Debby's Story
Life
Living in Olympia, WA with husband Bob Pattin. We are "empty nesters" as our daughter Rachel (34) and son Zack (37) are off working with homes and families of their own. We have three little grandsons between our two kids (babies born 2021, 2022, 2023).
I graduated from CHS a year early, and went off to Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA, where I met my husband in 9/72. We both were Theatre majors (B.A.)
Earned my Master's in Theatre at Univ. of Calif. at Santa Barbara. Was a theatre professional and later an HS drama teacher until kids came along. For 7 years, I owned The Event Company and coordinated reunions and events. In November `02, I retired because of my health, but have fully recovered from breast cancer. I went back to college to complete a library degree and was a school librarian for eight years. I retired in August 2023.
My mom, Virginia, died in 2011, so now both my husband and I are without parents. My brother Byron (CHS `75) lives and worked in Portland (he retired in March 2023), and sister Danna (CHS `81) is in Washougal, WA and works in Vancouver. Both are married, each with two grown kids.
I served on the reunion committee for our 30, 35, 40, 45th and our recent 50th year reunions for Corvall...Expand for more
is and Crescent Valley `73. It Is always great seeing so many of you. Life is short so I enjoy the chance to see old friends, and was grateful to see so many at the 50th this past July 14-15, 2023. Hope to see you at the 55th.
The things I still love (in addition to my family) are my pets, theatre, rock n roll, dancing, nostalgia and classic cars. We own a `57 Chevy Nomad, a `55 Pontiac Star Chief, and a `56 Chevy one ton flat bed dually pickup. So we've got the tri-fives covered.
If you are ever passing through Olympia on I-5, come see me. I can't list my phone number due to classmate.com rules, but it is in the phone book under Robert and Deborah Pattin. Or email me and I'll give you directions, my numbers, etc.
Stay in touch! Life's too short to miss out on staying in touch with friends.

School
I attended CHS for two years, graduating a year early to go to college. In HS I was very involved with Drama, which would be my major in college and graduate school.
I was also involved in student government.
If I had it to do again, I would study harder, especially in the areas of Math and Science, which I pretty much blew off.
I did well in Social Studies, English, Art, Drama, and extra-curricular stuff, like plays and war protests!
