Deborah's Story
Life
Life is about the journey, and I'm still going strong on mine, although I have slowed a wee bit!
I love living in the Carolinas - and don't miss Texas at all (only the Tex-Mex food)! The seasons are wonderful here, and living between the mountains and the beach is amazing.
Life continues to surprise me with its twists and turns, but I'm hanging on for the ride!
College
I've made attempts throughout the years to continue my education and to graduate. Things kept getting in the way, but I keep plugging along. Maybe someday I'll get there!
Workplace
I've dabbled in several interesting fields over the years. I've worked retail, done administra...Expand for more
tive assistance, and even taught a couple of college labs. I've spent the most time in two fields.....5 years as an Interior Designer (I have a flair), and 12 years as a Travel Consultant (I've traveled all over the world).
I went back to school and was hoping to finally become the nurse I started out to be, but fate had other plans for me. Retired from full time work at the Department of Social Services. I've spent the last 7 1/2 plus years working front desk at a veterinarian hospital. Lucky me...I get regular puppy and kitty cuddles!
Update:. I am finally and happily retired. My "Golden Years" are a bit brassy, but I'm making the best of them!
