Debbye's Story
Life
Well, I married Brian. We moved to Raleigh after I graduated from ETSU. We were married for 17 years and are now divorced. He remarried and redivorced. We don't stay in touch.
I am a Public Health Dental Hygienist with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services and an Independent Educational Consultant. The last few years I have won several National Awards, and as a result of this recognition, I travel around the US and give continuing education seminars to practicing dental professionals and dental students. For fun, I am a "Shagger". That is a very popular dance here in the Carolinas. I go to SOS, a big dancing event at Myrtl...Expand for more
e Beach a few times a year, and I travel quite a bit, both domestic and abroad.
SOS is kind of a mix like Mardi Gras and Spring Break for Midlifers. It attracts around 10-15 thousand folks from 14 states. I love seeing 'Old friends" a few times a year at these events.
I also love college football. Of course I still follow the Vols, but don't get to go to their games very much any more. I take my grandson to the NCSU games and get to go to the Carolina Panther games. I loved it when Keegan got to see Peyton Manning play here a few weeks ago.
I would love to see us have a reunion, especially with the big 4 0 coming up. I am too far away to be in charge, but would help if someone else would take command.
