I love to walk on the beach in the morning. There's nothing better than being on the sand looking out over the ocean as the sun sneaks into the sky.
I'm not a fashion trendy person. I wear what I like. In school my mom made my clothes. I could pick out the patterns and materials myself. Some of the girls with "rich parents" would make snide comments. Funny how in college, many of those girls begged to borrow my original design pageant dresses. I'd love to see where those hateful girls are in life now. I like jeans sometimes and dresses sometimes. I wear what I like, not what I necessarily see in fashion mags. My vice is shoes. I LOVE shoes!!! Heels, boots, sneakers, sandals.... Ugh!!!!
My first job was at Tg&y, where I got paid 2.35/hr to Be a cashier and stock merchandise. What I remember most about it is Being excited to have a job where I was excited to pay taxes. Good lord, if I only knew Uncle Sam would be taking more than 30%now....lol. What was I so excited about?!.
I remember when my mom married my step dad. I was miserable because I had to share my mom,I got an instant extended family, and I had to move and change schools in 7th grade. I pouted for a year. I stopped calling her momma and called her mother. I would only ...Expand for more
speak to him when I had to. finally, I realized how much of a good man he was and that he truly loved my mom. I grew o love him and accept him as my dad, which I really didn't have growing up. I'm glad I didn't waste more than a year of my life missing out on one of the greatest men I've ever met. I'm so thankful Dan Williamson lets me claim him as my dad.
I'm not sure how my old friends remember me, but I hope it is with kindness and love. I don't remember being a "mean" person. I always tried to be nice to people. I focused on school so I could go to college and be successful. I didn't end up doing what I planned as a child, but I have been very successful in life. I have a wonderful loving husband who supports my deals and walks with me in this wonderful journey of life. I still hope people see me as kind. I do for others and treat people the way I want to be treated. I've learned there are mean people in the world, but I still try to be a good person and not let them steal my joy.
One regret.... This is silly but I'd love to be able to find Charles Brown from 2nd grade and apologize to him. He sat in front of me in class and one day he had a pink dress shirt on and I colored on it with my pencil. It was such a mean thing to do, and I'm not sure what possessed me to do it, but I'd love to be able to say I'm sorry. He was a nice boy. He never did anything mean to me. It's one of those things I regret.
