I grew up in Texas and attended Elisabet Ney, LJJH, and Brazoswood. I was the one everyone teased about being a "BEAN", but eventually developed a tougher skin. My family moved to Utah when I was 16, but I've always considered myself a Buccaneer. I followed in my mother's footsteps and got married after 11th grade. My son, Dave was born 9 months and 3 days after the wedding and 3 months before I graduated high school. I moved to Canada and my daughter, Shanna, was born 2 years later. The kids were 1 and 3 when I became a single parent. You would have thought that I was doomed to become a welfare mom, but I was determined to teach my children that money doesn't come in the mail.
