Aloha from Steamboat Springs, Colorado I have left Hawaii to find work and live where it isn't so expensive! It wasn't that hard to leave because I was going in the hole. I lived in the valley (Phoenix and Scottsdale) before and loved it. I have family and friends there. Then I moved to Rimrock up in the Northwestern part of the state at the request of my former brother and sister-in-law. It lasted about 10 months. No job. NOW, I HAVE MOVED ON FROM THAT EXPERIENCE. TOO, MUCH DRAMA! So, here I was in Austin, Texas. Again at the request of someone. She is my former roommate from Hawaii. She has a home here and has been here since leaving Hawaii after graduating from UHM in 2002. Already we are happy to be roomies again. I am glad I made the decision to come and give it a try. It was a long 1000 plus mile drive from Rimrock but I managed it in 2 days and glad I stopped along the way.
