Deborah's Story
After Coleman Place, I graduated High School at Booker T. Washington and completed some business & computer classes at local colleges. I married a wonderful man I met at work. We have been married for 49 years & have a son and two daughters, all grown & through college & married now. I also have another daughter that I've reunited with after 37 years apart, and we're rebuilding the most wonderful relationship. da at Children's Legal Services (Department of Children & Families) for 11 years as Paralegal Specialist and Support Staff Manager. I'm currently retired, and my husband and I occasionally return home to Norfolk to visit family & friends. On a prior visit I found out that Coleman Place school in Norfolk was about to be torn down, with a new one almost completed behind the old building. I contacted the school to see if there were any old photo albums still around but didn't have much luck. So, it's really exciting when I see the ones that others post on this site.
