For those inquiring minds...went to college and more college. I got married and remain with the same guy 22 years later. I have two outstanding children. One is presently in college, and the other is in high school.
We've moved quite a bit, but we were able to stay in Texas for most of those moves. We have been back in Texas for about 6 years. We moved out of Houston, but it keeps chasing us! Pretty soon, we'll live in a suburb of Austin at the rate we're going.
I've spent my entire career teaching bilingual students. I can not think of a more...Expand for more
rewarding (intrinsic...not $$$) career than to work with children. Every day is a new adventure.
During our stay in Ohio, I got absolutely bored being a stay at home mom. I decided to get a job in "the real world" just to make the remainder of our stay up north go by at a much faster pace. Working with adults in "the real world" is about the same as working with students in grade school. You still have over achievers, slackers and whiners...they are just taller and look older!
My daughter graduated from high school and now we are looking forward to another chapter in her life. Yeehaw!! Bring on the double college tuition.
