Deborah's Story
MY LIFE
After graduation in 1981 I taught Kindergarten at the Central Baptist Church Academy in Pomona, CA for one year under Pastor Ray Batema.
My daughter Aisha was born on July 12, 1987. We lost her Dad in August 1999. My daughter Aisha and my son-in-law Dan and my two beautiful children Oliver (3 yrs) and Amina (2 years) live in Fort Benning, Georgia. Dan is currently serving in the US Army. Miss them dearly, but Georgia is a beautiful place to visit in Fall or Spring.
After years of being single, on December 18, 2010 I married Brian Powers in Campbell River, BC (Canada). Who knew that I would find the love of my life on Christian Mingle. My family has expanded. Now I have a beautiful step-daughter Amanda (17) and step-son Peter (17). Yes they a...Expand for more
re twins. They live in Campell River, BC with their Dad and attend the Campbell River Baptist School. We are currently working on the immigration paperwork for me to move there. We pray that it is approved and that I find a consulting position in BC so I can live there full-time by Fall 2011.
I have worked for Kaiser Permanete since July of 1989 in various departments. Currently I am a Leadership Development Consultant and I love the work. I attend the Grace Baptist Church in Montebello, CA. My Pastor is Tom Hertzel a graduate of Hyles Anderson College in Indiana.
My biggest challenge these days is managing living apart from my new husband until my visa is approved and being apart from my daughter, her husband and my beautiful grandchildren. God is good!
