Deborah's Story
Life
I am a grandmother of 4 children ages 10-15, two girls and two boys, possibly more, with an upcoming adoption in the works. I was born to be a grandmother! Didn't do too well with my only child (daughter). I was too busy with full time work and school, being a single mom. She grew up to be terrific, but without much input from me. I finished my Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lawrence Tech, after 10 long years, while working at Pontiac Motors as a Toolmaker. ening and I just helped build a Habitat for Humanity house. The rest of my time is spent being a grandmother and doing handyman jobs for my daughter and son-in-law. I got re-married in 1999 to a man I have known for 32 years and dated previously. I am quite active at my church and am the Church Clerk, keeping track of membership, birthdays, and minutes of all the meetings. Busy, busy, busy, no time to make jello. 2011 Update: I am now the secretary for the Roane County GOP, and am active in the Roane County Tea Party, of which my husband is Chairman.
My my, how times have changed. It is now 2021 and I have 7 grandchildren (3 adopted) and 4 more foster grandchildren. Still too busy to make jello.
