Deborah's Story
Life
After high school I went to Arkansas State University and got my Bachelor of Science in Education in Business Education and then went to work teaching high school business in Gainesville, Missouri. At the end of the school year, I resigned and returned to ASU to graduate school and got my Masters of Science in Education in Business Education and then went to work teaching Secretarial and Word Processing at Gateway Vo-Tech in Batesville. After a few years there and a messy divorce, I moved to the Houston area and taught business courses at a private post-secondary school there. In 1988, moved to Texarkana, Texas and started to work at Lone Star Army Ammunition Plant as a Keypunch Operator and then transferred to the Purchasing department later. After that went to work at Kerr-McGee Chemical in Texarkana and worked there for nearly ten years as...Expand for more

I was able to keep working my forty hour week job for a while but it was beginning to become harder on me and then when Kerr-McGee started a plant shut down. I moved to Magnolia, Texas to pursue a job opportunity there. The MS seemed to worsen over the year or so I was there and seemed the time to move home so I would have help with the girls had finally arrived so I am now back in Batesville and living with my mom. A beautiful baby girl named Makaelynn Faith. My second grandbaby is due November, 2010 and girl and will be named Bentlie Grace Gay. I am so excited.
