Deborah's Story
Life
I have two kids, Tye (27) and Christine (17). I stay busy with work, my kids, family, and friends. We enjoy going to the lake and the beach in the summer, snow skiing in the winter, and four-wheeling with my family in between. My parents still live in the Fort Worth area and all of my brothers live close by as well.
Workplace
Currently I contract Accounting & Tax work for various organizations while attending TAMU-Commerce to complete my Bachelor's in Psychology. Applying for Graduate school for Fall 2011. Hope to have my Ph.d in Psychology when I grow up.
I always wanted to be a Flight Attendant when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a crazy idea. As it turns out, they were right!.
I usually just chill at home amongst my piles of homework. My favorite way to relax is to check into a great hotel, order room service, and hang the Do Not Disturb sign on the door. Oh forgot to mention the great bottle of wine that I would be enjoying.
The wildest thing that I ever did in school was to drive Sandra Brewer's car and try to run from the cops. I pulled into a neighborhood and into someone's driveway and we all ducked down in the car. The cops pulled up behind us and we all put our Cheerleader jackets on before getting out so that they wouldn't hassle us. It worked, thank you Lord!
I have two heros in my life. My grandmother who I lost at ...Expand for more
the end of my Junior year and broke my heart and my Aunt Linda Jane who I am so very fortunate to have had in my life. She is the most precious woman on earth and I love her dearly!
I moved to Irving right after graduation. I have lived pretty much all over the metroplex, Coppell, Burleson, Sanger, Dallas, Combine, Forney and now Rockwall. I love Rockwall, it reminds me of H-E-B when we were in school.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Michele Fazende, because she is such an amazing person and I would love to get to know her again!.
My kids are awesome! I have the two most beautiful, intelligent, level headed kids that anyone could ask for. I love that they are better than I am!
To be truly happy, I would be on a ranch somewhere for Thanksgiving with my kids and grandkids (someday), with a fire burning in the fireplace, cooking dinner, drinking wine, dressed in camo ready to go out hunting, laughing and talking about old times with my kids, and watching Chevy Chase's Christmas Vacation and laughing until we cry!!
I am working very hard to finish my Ph.d in the next 5 to 6 years and either start my own practice or do clinical rotations in a hospital system while doing research, or maybe working for the government evaluating prospective high ranking employees. Something interesting and worthwhile!
I wouldn't do anything differently!
