Deborah's Story
After grade school I attended Morton West High School, 2 years at Rosary College (Dominican), then 2 years at Illinois State University where I graduated as an Accounting Major. After graduation I worked at Electro-Motive Diesel (EMD) in La Grange, IL for 31+ years. During that time I also attended Lewis University where I completed my MBA in Finance and Human Resources. I worked various positions over my years but the last 20 years I spent building large budgets for various areas of the organization. The company was sold by General Motors in 2005. In 2008 I took an early retirement from GM so I could pursue other interests. I remained working at EMD as an independent consultant until 8/09. I lived in Berwyn for another 15 years following my graduation from college. I am married to Che...Expand for more
ster and have 2 children (twins). Both of my children also attended St. Leonard for grades K-7 until we moved to Channahon, Il where we have resided for 13 years now. My daughter, Jessica, graduated from Lewis University, Romeoville as a chemistry and biology major (was pre-pharmacy) and works at Exelon Nuclear as a chemist. My son, Jeremy, graduated from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale and is a history/social studies teacher and currently works in Plainfield, Il. I have been blessed with a comfortable life, good health, a secure marriage and good friends. My husband and I enjoy traveling and hope to see many more places while we are still in good health. I am looking for a new job opportunity that I can be passionate about but have not quite figured out yet what that will be.
