Deborah's Story
Life
I have worked as an x-ray tech since 1987. I am fulltime faculty at the community college here in Tampa, in the Radiography Program. I moved to Tampa in 1992. I write a column for x-ray techs, that is nationwide, as well. I have been married since 1996 to the greatest guy!! Life is very busy in our house with two young cats underfoot, one is a Hurricane Katrina rescue and the other just gets into trouble.
School
The thing I remeber most, is any experience in choir. We had lots of fun and made more memories that I have room for!! Florida was fun, Philly was fun and so were vocal valentines!! The friends I made in choir were/are the best and those memories br...Expand for more

College
I enrolled at COD right out of high school, and completed my A.A.S. I then went on to National-Louis University and completed my B.A. Eventually, I finished my Master's degree. I am done, it has been a long road, but worth it!!
Workplace
I have spent the last 20 or so years working towards my teaching position that I currently hold. Every job, whether it was a lateral move (or not), gave me something that helps me today. I finally have the job I have always wanted. Jobs teaching people to be x-ray techs are very hard to get, I was in the right place at the right time, and all my hard work has paid off!!
