Deborah's Story
In high school, I was extremely insecure. I fought that off with a false confidence, which manifested as flirtatious, foul-mouthed, mischievous, and typically stoned. Ah, the era of sex, drugs and rock-n-roll! Now, I am devout Catholic, far less flirtatious and foul-mouthed, and never stoned. However, I do love a little mischief now and then.
At our ten-year reunion, I was divorced with two children to raise. I learned at that reunion that many of the people I admired and envied, who I assumed disliked me immensely in high school, had very many of the same insecurities and personal trials that I had. It was then I realized I was going to be okay.
After nearly 10 years as a single mom, I married my beloved Nick. He is my hero and champion ... the love of my life. We moved to Spokane, Washington in July 2001. We are close to heavenly playgrounds, yet in a town large enough to find other work after I've opened my big mouth. We have a lovely tiny home in a w...Expand for more
onderful old neighborhood. We enjoy good neighbors, good friends, and great weather.
I work as a paralegal and enjoy a close relationship with my daughter, Faith, and my grandson, Alex. Decidedly, grandparenthood is the reward for the trials of parenthood. My son, Michael, lives in northern California and is good about keeping i touch with his momma. Nick is a carpenter and, when he recovers from this bout of cancer, he will return to work and play. I can hardly wait.
Last year (2008), my dad finally sold the house in Richardson where we grew up. He and my mom (okay, step-mom, but she's the best!) bought a nice home on the lake in Rockwall. It's nice to see his lifetime of hard work so richly rewarded.
I'd like to get in touch with a couple of people I remember who made an important difference in my life. I'd like to say hey to a couple of people I remember so well, just to say hey.
So, if you remember me ... good or bad ... shout & let's see what's up.
