Deborah's Story
Life
October 2008. After 3 years in Europe we're back in the states. Moving to Germany was a great experience! We traveled to numerous european countries to include formerly Eastern block countries. Those are some fantastic memories. We picked up momentoes such as various types of antiques and textiles, but mostly we collected art along the way. My oldest daughter is 23 and will be married December '08. Still at home 17 year old Travis and 14 year old
Catherine. Both are doing well nd attending one of the top public schools in Colorado. Our youngest has her sights on Yale. Her brother calls her a snob. Travis made it into the Colorado Youth Symphony after spending 2.5 years in the German Orchestra. We are thrilled with his progress in his music and he will be playing a piece(Tarentella, I hope) at his sister's wedding. My husband is ...Expand for more
almost done with his obligation with the Army. At which time we'll possibly be moving in 4 years for his job. While in Landstuhl, Germany, he enjoyed treating and working with the wounded from the wars. He's deploying to Iraq in August '09. I'm experiencing the empty nesters syndrome. I'm trying to focus my attenion on the children and my husband. Next year my husband deploys for 6 months and my son will be a senior. Our daughter will be a sophomore and desires to travel during her summers(which I will chaperone)for various language programs. She's currently in German 3, Spanish 1 and wants to learn Russian. I feel like my needs are being put on the back burner so I can be sure everyone else is set off in the right direction. I'm trying to make that my job. Although, I must admit it's not easy to stay focued.
