Deborah's Story
Life
After high school, I went to Mass Bay and Lowell State College, majoring in Music Education and Psychology.
I got married to Kevin Donahue formerly of Belmont and currently a Waltham firefighter. We are now divorced, but had two great kids together.
I have lived in Florida since 1986. I am married for the 2nd time to a retired Waltham policeman, Colin.
My 2 children are Mark (born in 1978) who got married June 1st, 2007 and owns a house in Framingham. He is a Watertown Firefighter and his wife Kelly is a RN at Mount Auburn Hospital. Keri (born in 1981) owned a house in Florida not too far from my house, but moved back to Massachusetts last fall (2007). She was married in 2006 and has a little boy born on June 28th, 2007 named Brady. He's my pride and joy!!!!! She also has a little girl named Makena, born on April 23, 2009.
Remarrying, I now have 4 step-sons and 10 grandchildren who live in New Hampshire and down the Cape.
I was teaching at Cape Coral High School, a special ed/transition ESE class. It was an incredible challange, although it was very rewarding. I am now retired and keep active by reading, pulling weeds (they don't know what grass is down here) and sitting poolside.
My husband and I have a 5th wheel travel trailer up in Winchendon, MA (out Rt. 2 W on the NH border) at a private campers association. We get away from the heat and spend our summers up there. It gives us an opportunity to see our kids, grandkids, relatives and frie...Expand for more

I still love to sing and I still love the beach!!! Living in Florida allows me lots of time to do that as well as my new passion for boating. Colin and I joined the US Coast Guard Aux. and I was the first woman in the Ft. Myers area to become a coxswain. That allows me to operate a real Coast Guard Vessel. It's a blast!
I would love to hear from any of my old classmates.
I've never managed to get to reunions since moving to Florida because of my school schedule, but since I am not working I hope to make the next one.
Let's get in touch and renew some friendships. I'd love to hear from y'all!
School
My biggest crush? Billy Wilde. Oops the secrets out, but I think I told him that at our 10th reunion.
I was fond of so many teachers, Mr. Walker, Mr. Lynch, Mr. Karian, Miss Chabot...but I could have done without Mrs. Feldman and Mr. Jacobs. I think they hated me. Thank god I worked in Mr. Morangs' office. He got me out of a lot of sessions.
I was inspired by Pete Kennedy and Bob Eagle the most I guess. Having majored in Music Performance as a voice major I really got a lot of encouragement from them. They were the best times...chorus and drama club.
Knowing what I know now, I'd love to relive high school. I never appreciated how great it was to cheer on the Hawks, hang out with such great people...proms, plays, concerts, talent shows, dances in the cafe, senior revue, student council. Growing up in the 50's and 60's was the best. We were so lucky!!
