Deborah's Story

Life I'm married and we live in Livonia. We have a wonderful son. After graduation, I went to EMU and earned a teaching degree. I subbed for about a year and changed careers. I received my master's in library science from Wayne State University while working at Providence Hospital Medical Library. I got a job in New York City where I lived in the Upper East Side and worked at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine Levy Library for 4 & 1/2 years. In 1996, I moved back and met my wonderful husband. I returned to Providence, became editor of a couple of library newsletters, ...Expand for more
wrote a few articles for a few library journals, presented papers at a few library conferences. I also subbed at 2 public libraries while working full-time at the hospital. In September 2000, I changed jobs and got a part-time job at Garden City Public Library. In 2006, I started my current position at Canton Public Library as a part-time reference librarian. We love our 3 cats: Bella, Tori and Chili. I have been riding horses since 2008 and now ride at Tom Sworm Stable in Northville. I love being with my family and going on bike rides and walks in our neighborhood.
