Deborah's Story
Life
Married for a few years while I was in the Air Force. No kids, but plenty of dogs and cats over the years. Even a horse. Currently I have one cat and momma is living with me.
Living in Nashville TN. Been here since 1995, but I still get a kick out of driving downtown and thinking about all the musical history on the streets of this town.
In Oct 04 I started working with a personal trainer. It wasn't pretty, but he kept me moving and I am so different after that..
And in 2006, I joined the Nashville Dream Women's Football team. I am on the Offensive line, usually a guard. Not that I get to actually play much, since I am not particulary fast compared to the 20-year-olds. but Coach lets me get in there for a few plays. YeeHaw!!
College
After high school, I went to Northeast Missouri State University and studied mathematics. It is now called Truman University. I moved to California in April 79, and took my last three classes at Univ of Calif - Riverside. I actually graduated in Sep 79 with a BS in Mathematics and a minor in Geography.
In 1993, I went to Atlanta GA to go back to school at the Art Institute of Atlanta. I graduated in April 95 with an AA in Entertainment Management.
Workplace
Of course during school, you wait tables, sell hamburgers, yada yada. I spent over 10 years in the Air Force as a Communications Officer. After I left the service, I worked at a military dining hall in the supply office. I also tried sellin...Expand for more
g insurance, telemarketing and a telephone answering service. Definitely not me.
Six months at Taco Bell. (Yes I still eat there.) Cashier at a pet store and admin at a secret shopper service. Temp work - mostly as admin. Then three seasons at Opryland in the Cash Control Office - not many things better than counting money! Bookkeeping for a beverage company that I am still doing.
I retired after 22 years from my corporate job as Associate Director for a fifteen person department at Broadcast Music Inc. We dealt specifically with royalties that come to the US from overseas.
Now I am a Health Coach. I love to help people find their optimal life in body, mind and everything.
Military
I went into the Air Force directly from college in Sep 79. Officers School was three months in San Antonio TX. Then nine months in Biloxi Mississippi for Communications Training. I was then at Headquarters SAC at Offutt AFB, Omaha NE from '80 - '83. My favorite assignment was next - England! I spent three years at the 10 ACCS at RAF Mildenhall. It was an airborne command post squadron and I got to travel several places in the course of my duties - Portugal, Spain, Germany, Iceland and Texas. So my last assignment was in San Angelo TX at Goodfellow AFB. It was the center for Intelligence training for the Department of Defense. I left the Air Force in Mar of 1990. I loved the travel, meeting the new people and all the foreign places I got to see.
