Debra's Story
Life
After 25 years, I am once again living in Iowa. I moved from Des Moines to Michigan in 1980, where I went to college and settled until I joined Mercy Ships in 1994 and traveled around the world as a missionary. I lived in 24 different countries during that time, from Northern Europe to South Africa. I have danced with the wealthy and cried with impoverished.

tside the US was Perth, Scotland. While there, I met my husband, Loren(who was living in Iowa at the time). We were married February of 2004 and I now reside in Newton under the name of Simmons. I am a new mom to two grown children. My son just graduated from the Marine Corp Recruit Depot in San Diego. My daughter still lives at home with us.
I currently work for Iowa Telecom in Newton.
