Debra's Story
Life
Hi, to anyone out there that might remember me. If you are among the people that do remember, you might find some of the things I have done in my life surprising. Getting married and having children were the last things I ever wandted to do. The only way I made it through Chemistry was by getting a lot of help from Jerry's paper. I am a prime example that people change. I am now married, have three children, and teach physics and chemistry to high school student who sometimes remind me of many of us.
After graduation: Attended Lake Sumter Area Vo-Tech. Took state boards and worked as an LPN at then Leesburg General. I ended up at the University of Southern Mississippi. I met my husband. Got married and dropped out of school.

My husband is Gary Hawkins. We will be married 25 years in December.
The kids:
Allen is 23. He is a senior at the University of Mississippi and will graduate in December. His major is anthropology and the classics. He hopes to travel around the world and dig up artifacts. His more realistic goal will more than likely be join the Air Force as a language specialist and let his rich Uncle Sam pay off some student loans.
Will is 21. He paid for his education up front by going into the Army just out of school. He is home now and in in the Air National Guard. He is a flight medic and plans to qualify as a paramedic. Once he has a good income he plans to use his GI bill to finish school and become a psychologist.
Jackie Diane is my only girl. She is 19. She will be a Junior at the University of Southern Mississippi in the fall. She is going to major ART with a minor in graphic and add design.
