Debra's Story
Life
My life has taken many paths - but finally I'm on the right one. After graduation from Raliegh Egypt HS in Memphis, TN, I joined the Air Force and was stationed at Homestead AFB in aircraft maintenance then transferred to Charleston, SC as a flight engineer. I got out in 1986 to go to nursing school but became interested in alternative medicine which led me to massage school. Then I opened a day spa in Charleston, SC. In 1991 I sold out to my partner and took a job as a spa manager on cruise ships. I travelled all over the world for 9 years working on ships and seeing the sites. I got off the ships and stayed home with my grandma who was in her last year. At that time I was hired by Hilton Hotel Corp to do tour and travel sales. After my grandma died my company offered me a relocation to Dallas. They made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Dallas has become a wonderful spiritual home for me. I didn't have to run from God anymore and could be the loving, giving person I had always sheltered. I go to a fabulous Bible teaching church -Prestonwood and volunteer with an urban apartment ministry. Through this program I spend my time with Hispanic children tutoring and mentoring them. I also volunteer at their school. It's been the greatest blessing in my life.
I was married to a wonderful guy from 1977-1980. Unfortunately I thought I needed to go off and fly. He had to go and remarry-his name is David Agee and last I know he was living in AZ. I don't know why he couldn't wait 20 years for me! Some guys have no patience! I recently met up with my high school sweet heart Michael Tolbert. He still thinks of me when I was 15 - young, sweet, innocent and beautiful. What I guy! I definately don't want to disillusion him! Anyway he's married and living in Brimingham.
