Debra's Story
Time to update you all. We have a new Boston's The Gourmet Pizza coming to our small city and I have been hired as the General Manager. I will run this Restaurant/Sports Bar/Arcade that is 11,000 sq ft and seats 300 coming the end of November. I will be getting some training over at Dallas for 6 weeks. I really love the restaurant business.
Also got appointed to the Board of Adjustment last June so doing my volunteerism for the city.
I love my life.
A new adventure in my life as I am the Campaign Manager for my sister, Darla Dawald as she runs for State Representative for District 8 in Arizona.. Wow, my life has changed so much over the last year... I just keep remembering the phrase "triumph out of tragedy."
I began a new life in 2013 when I met my new husband Jim Rhodes... He is the Director of the Small Business Development Center at the Central Arizona College. It happened all quite by accident but I am writing a book about it. Hopefully you will see it on the book shelves soon or possibly a movie as it's quite a funny story.
Nice to have love, laughter and companionship again.
Debra

2011 will always live in my memory as my worst year. I had to put down my female Dalmatian, Sara in May then my youngest brother committed suicide in August and then Christmas Eve morning my husband, Dick passed away after a long battle with COPD. It was the worse year ever. I was a zombie the last couple of months but slowly I am coming back to feeling more normal, whatever that is now?
I am finding out that I have a new life to pursue now and will have to get back into working very soon. Right now I just don't know where or what but eventually I will figure it out.
But my passion has become my work as a political activist to try and save our country. I am a conservative that believes in protecting God and country. I am wanting the future generations to get to have the America that I grew up in and take our country back.
When I was in junior high the speech and dramatics teacher, Mr. Barry Salisbury changed my life. I was always rather shy and he helped me to step out of my shell and now I'm never afraid to speak in public.
