Debra's Story
After highschool I thought college was the way to go just because most of my friends were going that route. I went to LMC for a semester and decided it just wasn't for me. Of course, with a child on the way it was hard to go to college and feel comfortable about it. So I did what I always wanted to do. I got married, had a family and was divorced four years later(not on my agenda but unavoidable).
I raised my two children as a single parent for the next 6 ...Expand for more
years and tried marriage again. I started my second family at the age of 34 and was married to the most wonderful(so I thought)man in the world for 20 years (together for 22). This marriage produced 3 wonderful kids.
I am now divorced again and a single mother once again, have been for 5 years. My youngest son is a senior in highschool this year.
I have learned in some of the ugliest ways that life has a tendency to not go the way one would wish it would.
