Debra's Story

Went to college for a while after high school. Then got married to Donald Palmer (also a 1975 Monrovia High School graduate, my Grad Night date, and love of my life) in February 1977. Moved to Fontana, Ca in 1981. Ran a home daycare business and went to school on and off for the next 20 years. Coached soccer and Little League, Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader, and did all the mom stuff during that time. Went back to college in 1998 and earned my AA from Chaffey College in 2002, then attended Cal State San Bernardino and earned my BA in Psychology in 2004, and my MA in Counseling Psychology at California Baptist University in Riverside in 2006. work I love what I do)in Riverside as a Marriage and Family Therapist and own my own counseling center (it's good to be the boss)working with at-risk youth (my passion) and their families. I also volunteer as a counselor and coordinator of a youth leadership group at a shelter for teenage runaways in Riverside and as a youth mentor with juvenile probation. I am also currently working on my Doctorate in clinical psychology. Just celebrated 33 years of wedded bliss. We have 4 boys and 5 grandchildren (the best part of our lives). Love to get away with my husband, who is a software/hardware engineer, in our spare time. Not that we have much of that these days. Life is good.
