Debra's Story
Life
After graduating from AHN, I went on to Loyola University in New Orleans where I received a degree in Political Science. Then I moved to Birmingham, Alabama where I received a J.D. in Law from Cumberland School of Law. I met and married Sam Burke Wear while in law school and we have one child, Mary Leigh who is 9. Sam and I will celebrate 15 years of marriage in August. I currently work for John Carroll Catholic High School in Birmingham and Sam is an attorney.

s busy with his law practice. I am active in church as a Minister of Communion, with the Children's Liturgy and I sing with the folk group. Mary Leigh is active in dance, in church with the children's liturgy and as an altar server and in girl scouts. I am also a docent at the Birmingham Zoo which I thoroughly enjoy.
I was saddened to hear of the death of our classmate, Leah Kraemer (Voorhees). She died in April of this year from unknown causes. She was married with a 10 year old son and taught art in Virginia.
