Dee Ann's Story
Life
I've been married since 1985 to my husband Kevin. We have 2 children, Hillary, born in 1987, and Kyle, born in 1994. We have twin grandchildren, a boy and a girl, born in 2014. My husband, a Mercer Island HS ('76) and UW grad, was in the army until 1994 as an intelligence officer. over 30 years. He’s also retired from his civilian job. After I graduated HS I worked at a life insurance company for a year, 1984-1985. Then I got married and raised my kids. I also worked as a church secretary from 2004-2009. In 2012-2013 I battled breast cancer and survived. After being in remission for several years, I currently have stage four metastatic breast cancer.
