Dee's Story
I was born in Fairfield, CA. We moved to Fair Oaks Ca. when I was 6 mo.old. After graduation I worked as a baby sitter, a chauffeur, a blue coat at Mervyn's, a janitor at Noah's Ark Pre-School, an After school kindergarten kids watcher at Noah's Ark Pre-School, and I worked at a stained glass store shining metal. I worked at Franchise Tax Board for 29.75 yrs. I retired early becase my Mom had Desmo Plastic Melanoma on her nose. on. I had just got back to work after having my own journey with cancer, I had no vacation or sick leave to take off for her treatments. That was the reason for early retirement. I lived in the same house for 63 yrs. My Mom passed away, my brother asked me to move up to Yuba City, Ca. to be closer to him and his family, so I did. I still love to paint, draw and doodle. I never got married but came close once. Unfortunately, he passed away before we were able to. That is pretty much my life in a nutshell since graduation.
