Life Hi This is Dee (Swanson) Korda - HHS Class of '71! -- Boy, where does the time go? I have lived in Alaska for almost 15 years. Today was our first snow (October 20th.) I live about 125 south of Anchorage in a small town called Seward. It seemed like a good day for me to play on the computer! My husband was military for the first 12 years of our marriage and then we returned to Hilmar for 10 years before moving back to Alaska. He left in '96 and the kids and I stayed. Now most of my kids are grown and are heading south too, but I love Alaska. I don't know if I am staying or going. Being alone, and being a long distance grandma is not very fun. I have had a busy lifetime, like everyone else full of ups and downs. I gave birth to 5 kids, foster parented over 50, and adopted 10. My youngest is 17 now and between all 15 of my kids they live in EIGHT states! What a mobile society we have, but I guess we introduced them to travel when they were young, so it isn't really a big suprise. Life is full of adventures! I went to college for a couple of years right out of High School then I was a stay-at-home mom for 17 years, which I truely loved.
