Deirdre - Dee's Story
Some of you may remember me as Dee Dee. Dark haired, olive skinned girl, sort of a Tomboy.
I changed my name to Dee when I turned 21. I left Helix High school to work as an Ice Skater with Ice Capades, traveled around the Orient, Canada and our United States. I left skating and married Michael LaVoie when I was a late teen, live in San Diego for a few years w/him and then we moved to CT for 5 years where I went to college. The marriage only lasted 7 years as we grew apart. I was single for a few years and then married my present husband of 28yrs Teddy Beddingfield. I was a Banker for 20 yrs in SD, New London CT and then in TN. I retired from banking to adopt 2 babies from Ukraine (Isabella Natalia now 17, Lukas Cole now 16). I have been wo...Expand for more
rking for the CLINIQUE Corp since 2001, now as an Event Mgr/Coach (lots of fun). I have traveled alot, seen many countries, met thousands of interesting people. I am blessed with a wonderful family, we live in Fayetteville TN a small town just south of Nashville. We are always on the run w/kids activities (school, scouts, karate, basketball, swimming & cheerleading). Life has handed me a few hurdles that I wish I hadn't had to experience but as they say I wouldn't be the same person or have the great family I have now. I do get back to San Diego every yr or 2, it is a beautiful place to visit but I enjoy coming home to a quiet small town w/acreage to garden and for the kids to play.
