Delores's Story

As most of you know , I married Ronnie Williamson in December of 1958 after graduating from St. Mary's School of Nursing in September of that year. We have 5 wonderful children. We have 13 living grandchildren, we lost two to illness. We have 15 great grandchildren with another great granddaughter due to be born the first of January. We don't get to see them nearly enough, but keep up with them on facebook. Ronnie was in the 82nd Airborne when we got married and was discharged in December of 1959. We lived in Ohio from 1960 to 1973. I worked at Brown County Hospital in Georgetown, and Ron worked for Ford Motor Co. Our eldest daughter had asthma and we moved to Wyoming for the drier climate. I worked at the Wyoming Retirement Center in Basin, and Ron worked for the state highway department. Our children love Wyoming, and 3 still live there. We moved back to West Virginia, and lived there 2 1/...Expand for more
2 years, then moved to Sterling, Colorado. I worked at Sterling Regional Medcenter and retired from there in June of 1998. Ron worked as the maintenance man at Sterling Living Center and retired from there in April of 1998. In 1999 we moved to Soldotna Alaska, and lived there for 7 years. We enjoyed our time there but felt we needed to get closer to family, so we moved to Whitwell, Tennessee. Our daughter, Andrea is a P.A. and works in Chattanooga. Our daughter, Letitia, is a lawyer. Patty works at a bank in Worland, Wyoming. Our son Charles is a concrete finisher by trade, but is working in North Dakota right now on a drilling rig. He worked, in concrete, all summer in Alaska. Our son Bradley is a journeyman electrician in Las Vegas. As I write this we are in Norfolk, Virginia at Ron's mothers house. She is 99 with a birthday coming up January 4th. She graduated from Chattaroy as Edith Davis.
