Life I am in my 12th year of public education. I taught MS & HS band, chorus and show choir for ten years before venturing into the elementary school. Now I ask myself why I was working so hard for the same amount of money. When I took an elementary position, I thought life would slow down and let me catch up on everything I missed during rehearsals and band trips. That has NOT been the case. In August 2001, I was recruited and accepted an adjunct faculty position at Ashland Community College in Ashland, Ky as the Musical Director for their Theatre Department. I am now in my 5th musical in just over a year! In my spare time, I am the principal alto hornist for the Brass Band of the Tri-State which competes annually in the NABBA Championships and performs 6 to 10 concerts a year.
