Denie (Danica)'s Story
Denie Laronde is now; Danica Rain,
I am transgender and i "transitioning" from male to female....
Life for me has become quite a journey, but for once in my life i am happy.
Honestly life has been hard transitioning in Sudbury , I had been assaulted countless times as well as hospitalized and even stabbed , as they say what do-sent kill you only makes you stronger. I gave up on enduring all the hate and Discrimination in Sudbury and moved to a better accepting city. Now Iiving in downtown Toronto in a beautiful condo overlooking the city. My life has changed for the better. I do very well for myself as a model, and I also have written a magazine article that has been published and I also in the process of writing 2 books. Recently I had the pleasure of being a part of a documentary that will be airing in the spring on cable tv. 2016 I had the wonderful opportunity to be involved with the Inspire Awards as a a judge. Also I've been able to be on City news, CP24 and CTV for various news reports . I am now working on becoming a trans mentor for young transgender children as well as a web series :)

've been able to bridge Canadian health care Ohip with out of country surgeons, due to the lack of in Canada. And I will be the 1st Canadian to travel over seas with provincial funding for gender confirmation surgery. Opening the door for other Canadians awaiting for surgeries.
For those who laugh at me or put me down, here is something for you to consider...
I went to college on my own with no help from mommy or daddy!!!
I graduated my courses from Machinist, Massage Therapist to Paramedic. When I graduated from the Paramedic Program I was top of my class as well as on the Deans list. During my work as a Paramedic I saved countless lives as well as even delivered a baby in the back of my ambulance. What have you accomplished in your life? So before you pass judgement on me, take a look in the mirror at yourself? what good have you done in the world?
